LEADERSHIP SKILLS
"Leading a group is not my strong point, I need direction"
These workshops identify the fundamentals of good leadership, analyzing attributes, exercises to practice skills previously identified, and different leadership styles.
Students will also be taught to find tools and techniques to help adopt the correct style to the situation and audience. Includes scenario exercises and problem solving – Focus, Plan, Do and Review.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Students will:
- understand leadership attributes and skills in order to pick a winning team, to be able to engage and motivate others and build trust and a shared sense of purpose to get results
- experience linking all the topics of the day – skills and attributes, leadership of self, team roles and skills, task, team and individual, motivation, trust, and communication skills
- understand how to overcome real-life scenarios
- realise that sometimes there is no “right” decision on the “least worst” decision
- be able to prioritise decisions when there are multiple crises
- realise that the group knows more than the individual
- understand people’s different thinking patterns in group decision making
- learn more about their value system (and how other people’s can be different and not wrong)
- be able to solve a problem creatively

AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
To be aware of different styles of leadership and the specific qualities. The students will be able to identify strengths and weaknesses for the good of a team. Students should also be able to think and act for themselves.
