Founded in 1998, Inside Knowledge is an independent company that specialises in offering both Career Taster workshops and a range of Skills days. We are dedicated to raising the aspirations of students from all backgrounds. Our approach is to establish the specific needs of the school or college, providing a tailor-made product if required. We cater for 14-19 year olds, and because we have over 400 professional trainers throughout the country, big days are not a problem.
Inside Knowledge programmes are now accredited by NCFE through their Investing in Quality Licence (IIQ) which is designed to give formal, demand led recognition to organisations’ bespoke programmes. The licence is based on a number of Quality Statements which provide a quality assurance framework for the development, delivery and evaluation of learning activities.
It has been recognised that an outsider coming in for a ‘special training day’ has a greater impact and focuses the students’ attention. Therefore, our workshops, which are role-play based, are informative, interactive and highly engaging. Our trainers believe that ‘learning through doing’ is one of the most effective ways to teach young people essential skills. From our Career Taster Workshops through to the variety of skills workshops, we arrange the day for you. All you need to do is tell us your requirements, the date and timings and we do the rest. This will help reduce your workload considerably as we realise that these days are time consuming for all teachers.
Our professional trainers are evaluated after every session to ensure that quality is at its highest. Our Careers trainers are working or have recently worked in their specific areas and are therefore up to date with key information, keeping the workshops fresh and interesting. All our trainers are used to working both with young people and adults; they can easily adapt the programme to suit the level required. Our trainers are CRB checked.
