ENTERPRISE DAY

"Starting up my own company seems impossible, where do I start? How do I build a business from nothing and make money?"

We introduce students to the concept of spending or keeping money followed by a 'trading' role-play exercise in teams of buyers and sellers.

After learning the fundamentals of negotiation, students build up a business from the absolute basics to success on just £250. This includes team pitching for development money from a business 'Angel' or bank manager.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Students will have experienced:

understood key drivers of a business
experienced business style decision making
been exposed to strategies of a market place
experienced an entrepreneurs need to prioritise
experienced how a team behaves and communicates in a changing environment
learnt the art of negotiation in business.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
Students define a strategy; take part in market research, combining speed, and decisiveness. They run a company start up and put into practice the 4 ‘P’s of enterprise.
