Sessions to include:
1. Introduction to difference – ‘Please Stand up’ - A practical exercise that illustrates how a group can be bound by one similarity.
2.
Quiz Time - Covering legislation, religion and cultural information, historical aspect of diversity, significant contributions from communities and how diversity is portrayed in the mass media and news.
3. Stereotypes and Assumptions- Examining assumptions, perceptions and judgements.
4. Group exercise - Similarities, shared values and celebrating differences.
Learning Outcomes: Ultimately this session will equip and prepare students so they are more aware of diversity and the six strands that are currently legislated for - i.e. Race, Gender, Disability, Sexual Orientation, Religion and Age and give them an insight into how diversity and cohesion impacts on everyday life.

- Why Diversity is so important within society?
- How did we get here?
6. Bullying, Prejudice and Discrimination (60 mins)
- Examining prejudices, discrimination and how bullying develops
- Ground breaking thought provoking video.
