CAREER TASTER WORKSHOPS
"Help!, I have no idea what I want to do when I leave school"
Remember when you were 14-19 years old? The majority of us had no idea what career path to take.
Students can now sample some careers before they decide! Inside Knowledge offers career ‘taster’ workshops where students, in their school or college, can attend up to 3 different careers of their choice in a day. We are, in effect, bringing the workplace right into your school from a choice of over 50 careers.
Our Professional Trainers are all working and share their experiences, involving the students in interactive role-play as much as possible.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES : To ‘taste’ various careers with ‘learning by doing’. To discover which skills and thinking patterns are vital for success through either case studies or role-play exercises.
LEARNING OUTCOMES :
Students will have:
- ‘tasted’ up to 3 careers in a day
- talked to someone working in the careers they chose
- have a better understanding about the careers
- be aware of the ‘pitfalls’ & ‘highs’
- practiced the vital skills & thinking patterns needed for success
- experienced a reality role-play or case study
- received progression routes
